The National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) is the U.S. Government agency in charge of designing, building, launching, and maintaining America’s intelligence satellites.

Apogee's ideal MBSE candidate will help lead the transformation through application of Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) industry best practices, processes and methodologies to revolutionize data collaboration and systems acquisition.   Foundational to MBSE are tools, technologies, and methodologies that can collectively be called Digital Engineering. If you love digital models, simulations, and enterprise process improvement then you'll love Apogee and this position!

What You'll Do

  • Assess engineering artifacts and develop models of mission systems using an MBSE tool suite
  • Apply systems engineering modeling methodologies to develop mission models and simulations to enhance new capabilities
  • Define and Demonstrate the appropriate data standards, data structures, and supporting COTS, GOTS, and Open Source technologies in support of major system acquisitions
  • Integrate enterprise tools with MBSE-based processes to support the ERB process, CONOPS & architecture development, Risk, Issues & Opportunity Management boards
  • Support schedule management, test & verification strategy development, and system integration of existing and new acquisition capabilities

Required

  • BS in Engineering, Physics, Programming or Stem Degree
  • MBSE working knowledge in the digital engineering of system requirements, design, analysis, verification & validation activities
  • Familiarity with UML / SysML modeling languages and experience applying this common structure to an MBSE solution
  • Familiarity with MBSE tools and modeling methodologies to successfully produce systems engineering models
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following:  Cameo, DOORS Next Generation, Rhapsody, MagicDraw

Strongly Desired Skills

  • MS in Engineering, Physics, Programming or Stem Degree
  • Familiarity with IBM's Rational Tool Suite, Rhapsody or other UML based architecture and systems engineering tools
  • Experience in identifying, architecting, and recommending analytic technologies and solutions in a Big Data and AWS Cloud environment
  • Certified in one or more of the following: SAFe, ITIL, OMG, SysML, INCOSE, AWS
  • Knowledge of standard DoDAF architectural frameworks to include UPDM and/or UAF
