Seeking an IT Web and Multimedia Specialist in Springfield or Chantilly, VA.

Duties:

  • Develops content and performs maintenance to internal and external websites.
  • Performs planning, designing, implementation, and ensures performance of content enhancements and updates to websites.
  • Ensures web content is accurate, and reliable.
  • Designs and builds web pages using a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools.
  • Utilizes a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools.
  • Designs and develops user interface features, site animation, and special effects elements.
  • Contributes to the design group’s efforts to enhance the appeal of the organization’s online offerings.
  • Recommends best practices, develops guidance and content standards, and ensures best practices and quality standards are met and maintained.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires Bachelor’s in Fine Arts, Graphic Arts, Computer Graphics, or any Liberal Arts or Technical Degree.
  • Knowledge of web-based technologies including browsers, ASP pages, HTML code, object-oriented technology, and graphics software.
  • Proficiency in using MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, JavaScript, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Acrobat, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with presentation development and excellent interpersonal skills.

Security Clearance

  • TS/SCI. A TS/SCI with FS Poly is Preferred.

Apogee Retirement Plan

Apogee wants to ensure that every Apogee-nius can participate and grow a meaningful retirement nest egg without losing the flexibility to save for other goals. To provide this flexibility, the Company provides a 401(k) with a Profit Sharing component that enables Apogee to contribute up to 7% of your gross salary to your retirement.

Apogee offers a 401(k) plan to all our employees. You are eligible to participate in the plan beginning on the first of the month following 3 months of employment. You may contribute up to 20% of your gross wages each pay period on a pre-tax basis. Apogee will match 100% of your contribution to the 401(k) up to 7% of your gross salary. The maximum dollar amount you can contribute for 2013, per the IRS, is $17,500. The Vesting period for Apogee matching contributions is 3 years. Fidelity provides Apogee 401(k) plan users a wide selection of investment choices including index funds, managed funds, stocks and bonds tailored for your investments goals and years till retirement
